PRAYER BEFORE STARTING WORK
My Heavenly Father, as I enter this work place,
I bring Your presence with me.
I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy
And Your perfect order into this office
I acknowledge Your power over all that
Will be spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls.
Lord, I thank You for the gifts
You have blessed me with.
I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor.
Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job.
Anoint my projects, ideas and energy,
So that even my smallest accomplishment
May bring You glory.
Lord, I am confused, build me.
When I am weary, energize me. When I am burned out
infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit.
May the work that I do and the way I do it bring
Faith, Joy and a smile to all that I come in contact with today. Oh
Lord, When I leave this place, give me traveling mercy.
Bless my family and home to be in order as I left it.
Lord, I thank you for everything You've done, everything You're doing
and everything You're going to do.
In the Name of Jesus I pray, with much love and Thanksgiving
Amen.
God does not comfort us so that we'll be comfortable; we are comforted by God so that we might comforters.
Make a joyful noise all ye people. Find some time today to give God some praise and honor! Say thank you! Recognize his goodness and mercy.
Proverbs 20:27 The Lord's light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.
Proverbs 21:3 The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices. Sacrifices are not bribes to make our God overlook our character faults. We can't exchange good behavior in one area for bad behavior in another. If our personal and business dealings are not characterized by justice, no amount of generosity when the offering plate is passed will make up for it.
Proverbs 29:1 Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery. Warning rarely come with countdowns. We can't tell when we had our last chance to change. When we, like the person in this proverb, refuse to consider valid criticism, we leave ourselves open to sudden disaster. The moment we realize that a change is necessary is the best moment to take action.
PROVERBS 28:13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. It is human nature to hide our sins or overlook our mistakes. But it is hard to learn from a mistake you don't acknowledge making. What good is a mistake if it doesn't teach you something? To learn from an error you need to admit it, confess it, analyze it and make adjustments so that it doesn't happen again. Everybody makes mistakes, but only fools repeat them.
PROVERBS 27:12 A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.
PROVERBS 26:20 Fire goes out without wood and quarrels disappear when gossip stops. Talking about every little irritation and piece of gossip only keeps the fire of anger going. Refusing to discuss them cuts the fuel line and makes the fire die out. Does someone continually irritate you? Decide not to complain about the person and see if your irritation dies from lack of fuel.
